Jiang Jian, born in Guiyang in 1975. Graduated in graphic design from BICT in 1998. After four years working as an art director/designer in Beijing, he came to Australia for his Master course in Visual Communication. During studies in Sydney, he founded the experimental collective Joyn:design with other two friends Cyan Xia and Frank Liu. The triple’s output has been featured on several design festivals such as Sydney Esquiess, Curvy Exhibition, Semi-Permanent 04. Press work for magazines includes Neomu (NYC), Digit (London) and Modern Weekly (Guangzhou). He’s now living in Sydney and devoting to exploring all facets of contemporary visual communication with Joyn:design fellows.

Qian Qian (b. 1979) is a multi-faceted designer, working in the fields of print, web, and moving images. He has his Masters' Degree in design from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and now teaches graphic design at Southwest Missouri State University, USA. Before coming to the States, he has worked at OgilvyOne, Beijing, as a senior designer, created award-winning websites for various clients. His work has been selected into American Illustration, DOTMOV 2004 Festival in Japan, 8th Mexico Poster Biennial, and featured in Web Designing magazine in Japan, Semi Permanent 04, BD4D Edinburgh, Modern Weekly magazine in Guangzhou, and Art and Design magazine in Beijing.

Ou Ning (b. 1969) currently lives and works in Guangzhou, China. He is the founder of U-thèque, an independent film and video organization. He is also active as a writer, music promoter and graphic designer. His border-crossing work, including the independent alternative magazines and publications he founded at different periods, catalogues and books he has designed for Chinese artists and foreign museums, as well as San Yuan Li, an experimental documentary which has received worldwide acclaim since its participation in the 50th Biennale di Venezia.

Ji Ji (b. 1972) graduated from Industry Design Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1992. He is member of Shanghai Graphic Designers Association. In 1999, Ji Ji founded Poledesign Consultants, and later in 2003 he set up Shirtflag as a fashion concept brand. In 2004, he set up Advance Art Center as the first Art Design Gallery in China. His work has been selected into 5th Marco Design Biennial, and "Shanghai Show" in 2004. He has curated many exhibitions including Photography by Peng&Chen, Great Magazine Art, and Blindness by Ou Ning. He also curated sound art performances, such as Wangfan + Jingsong Li, and Zhoupei + Paul Forbes show.
